      What You’ll Learn

Is your puppy demonstrating unwanted behaviours like jumping, nipping at ankles, chewing on household items, digging and running away from you? In our group class you will learn the following:

      • Engagement: How to gain your puppy’s attention and focus

      • Group classes are especially beneficial for pups as they learn dog social skills very early on.

      • Proper techniques of clicker training (see description below)

      • New skills like sit, down, come and other basic obedience commands

      • Luring, heeling and introduction to loose leash walking including handson practice

      • Touchpad work to teach your puppy spatial awareness and self control

      • “Place” command. This enables you to keep your own dog nearby and involved in activities without being underfoot, such as when you are eating or answering the door.

      • How to teach your dog recall (to come when called!)

      Q&A Topics Covered

The puppy classes were really great. They definitely taught us a lot, and we have done puppy classes in the past. The trainers were excellent and we don’t have a single suggestion for making the classes any better than they were. Many thanks!

We felt the trainers were very well organized, approachable, knowledgeable and friendly. All those traits were very important to us. The information from the classes being emailed to us for review/reference was a great idea and very useful. We heard about Obedience Unleashed Dog Training through my sister who also used this service. She found the company because she used to work with the owner in law enforcement. The trainers were always punctual and very knowledgeable in their field. I would say they were experts. The trainers answered our questions well and always had ready examples to share. We loved that they had their own dogs there to help with the training too. I would definitely refer Obedience Unleashed Dog Training to a friend!

Dog Training Method: Marker Training Sessions

What is marker (or clicker) training?

In a nutshell, it’s an animal training method based on behavioural psychology that relies on marking desirable behaviour and rewarding it. This black and white method of communication is based on positive reinforcement and will revolutionize the way that you train your dog.  This class will teach you about the power of training your dog with food and will focus on building the dog/handler relationship through engagement and motivation. During the class you will learn the basic concepts of luring, leash pressure and shaping of behaviours. We will also cover classical/operant conditioning and discuss how to build motivation in your dog through productive play. Marker training can be used to train any behaviour, from basic obedience and tricks to behavioural modification. There are no prerequisites for this class. It is recommended that you bring treats, a food pouch, leash and a clicker for your dog. The class has a limit of 8 dogs. Please book online now to reserve your spot.

      Testimonials

We were in search of finding boarding for our 3 year old reactive/hypersensitive pup that is also seeing impaired. With that came uncertainty in who we could leave Mabel with in an emergency and who we could trust in handling her reactiveness. We plan to book an overnight stay soon, but we are currently beyond happy with our first few daycare trials and the updates we've been given along with Mabels happy disposition when she comes back to us at the end of they day!
Great people who can train you and your dog to learn proper dog techniques. Go see Andy and there team. You will be happy with results.
Great group classes, great daycare and great training. Highly recommend!
I seriously cannot thank Obedience Unleashed enough. My 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog can be quite fearful of new people and sometimes reactive, which is why I have been nervous to board or send him to daycare for a long time. After talking to some of the staff, I felt very reassured that my dog would be well taken care of and that they would understand his quirks and needs. He just finished a night of boarding (+ several previous daycare visits) and I am so happy to see him enjoying himself and opening up to new people and doggy friends. Thank you so much guys! ❤️
Enzo just came back from his first day of daycare and he loved it!! thank you so much for the caring staff and for the updates and giving me a good laugh with him coming out in the golf cart.😂❤️
We’ve been going to Obedience Unleashed for a few years now and I can’t say enough to recommend them. We have a very large reactive dog and finding somewhere to take care of him wasn’t easy. At OU, they have always taken great care for him, been so open to working with us on his care, and have communicated clearly at every step.

The peace of mind this has afforded us has allowed to us to more easily go out of town and trust that he is in good hands. Highly recommend!
Milo is a beloved member of our family, and we wouldn’t trust just anyone with his care. After trying other trainers and training programs in the area, we quickly realized that the personalized attention and empathy we were seeking for Milo were missing. We needed a trainer who truly understood our dog and our concerns, and that’s exactly what we found with Andy and Marie at Obedience Unleashed.

From the moment we met them and toured their facility, we knew Milo would be in great hands. We chose the board and train program, which, although hard because we missed him, turned out to be the perfect decision for Milo. It was clear that this organization genuinely cares about the well-being of their dogs, and they took the time to consider both Milo’s needs and ours.

We appreciated the regular video and photo updates that kept us in the loop. It was so reassuring to see Milo responding to commands, walking calmly in public stores, and making visible progress—things we never thought possible. We never felt out of touch or uncertain about his progress; we were always kept informed about his eating habits, bathroom routines, playtime, and more. They even celebrated Milo’s birthday, which really showed how much they care about the dogs they train.

Milo’s trainer, Hannah, was exceptional. She provided detailed notes on his progress and gave us clear, practical suggestions for easing the transition back to our home routine. It was clear that Hannah's professionalism was rooted in a deep respect and kindness for the animals she trains. Milo's excitement when he sees her speaks volumes about the bond they share.

The board and train, along with the follow-up sessions and group walks, have made a tremendous difference in Milo’s behavior. He is now calmer around other dogs and walks very well on a leash. While his excitement around other dogs is still something we’re working on, the progress has been remarkable. My mom, who has arthritis, can now walk Milo without him pulling or lunging, which has been a huge relief. Milo has also learned to be comfortable being away from us, understanding that it’s okay to be apart and that we’ll always come back.

The Obedience Unleashed team has given us the best foundation to work with Milo and has strengthened the bond between us. Training is always a work in progress, but with their guidance, we feel confident in continuing Milo’s journey. I truly appreciate the knowledge they’ve shared with our family, and I’ll turn to them whenever I need training support or a safe place for Milo during vacations. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for us. 🙂
