Obedience Unleashed doggy daycare programs consist of supervised play groups, pack walks, one-on-one time with staff, play with toys, and periods of rest throughout the day. Every dog is supervised by a caring, trained team that provides frequent photo updates and immediate communication.
Calgary dog owners now have access to a daycare program built on 15+ years of experience across five more locations. Dog daycare is great for dogs who need socialization or need a fun, active day out or regular care while you’re at work. Obedience Unleashed provides a safe, structured environment where dogs can thrive.
Our Dog Daycare Facility
Our Cochrane location features a fun indoor play area, comfortable kennels for rest periods, and an outdoor area for potty breaks and fresh air. The facility was built in 2018 and opened in 2019, with 2,000 sq ft of indoor space and a fenced outdoor play area. The building has a professional HVAC system and is cleaned daily, so every dog enjoys a fresh, comfortable space throughout the day.
We’re conveniently located in the heart of Cochrane, just 30 minutes from the City of Calgary. Our address is 101-12 Griffin Industrial Point, Cochrane, AB, where dogs and trained staff have easy access to nearby parks and trails.

Daycare Drop Off and Pick Up Times
Bringing your dog to daycare is easy and flexible. Drop-off runs from 7:15 am to 9:00 am, and pick-up is available from 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm. Our furry friends enjoy a full, active day in between, arriving ready to play and head home happy and tired.

Rates:
- Full day doggy daycare (maximum 10 hours) is $38.00
- Daily overnight rate is $49.00 (24 hours)
Add-ons:
- Additional: a private 30-minute walk can be added to your package for $15.00
Admission & Vaccination Requirements
To keep all dogs safe and healthy, Obedience Unleashed requires proof of up-to-date vaccinations prior to your dog’s first visit. The following vaccinations are required for all doggie daycare and boarding guests:
- Rabies — required for all dogs
- DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) — required for all dogs
- Bordetella (kennel cough) — optional, but requires a 3-week wait period if you choose to receive it before you can attend our facility.
We accept all dogs, including intact dogs; however, intact dogs are unable to participate in group daycare play with other intact dogs.
Puppies are welcome starting at 4 months, and upon completion of the current full puppy vaccine series.
Please bring a copy of your dog’s vaccination records on the first day of drop-off, or email them in advance.

- Pet First Aid Certified — All staff have successfully completed Dog First Aid training.
- Double-Gated Entry — Secure double-gated entry points prevent any accidental escapes during drop-off and pick-up.
- Play Group Separation — Dogs are grouped by size and temperament to encourage safe, positive interactions.
- On-Site Cameras — There are on-site cameras monitored by staff.
Please note: if a dog displays aggressive or reactive behaviour toward staff, Obedience Unleashed reserves the right to turn the dog away and decline future participation in the daycare or boarding program. This policy exists to protect the safety of all staff and animals in care. Referrals to other facilities that accommodate human-reactive dogs are available upon request.

What vaccinations does my dog need for daycare?
All dogs must be up to date on Rabies and DHPP vaccines prior to their first visit. Bordetella is optional, but requires a 3-week wait period if you choose to receive it before coming to Obedience Unleashed. Proof of vaccination is required on or before the first day of drop-off.
At what age can my puppy start daycare?
Puppies are welcome once they have completed their full puppy vaccination series, typically around 4 months of age. Please bring proof of completed vaccinations on the first visit.
Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?
We accept all dogs at our facility, including intact dogs; however, intact dogs are unable to participate in group daycare play with other intact dogs.
How do you handle aggressive or reactive dogs?
The safety of every dog and staff member is the top priority. If a dog displays aggressive or reactive behaviour toward staff, Obedience Unleashed reserves the right to decline participation in the daycare or boarding program. Referrals to other facilities that accommodate human-reactive dogs are available upon request.
What should I bring on my dog's first day?
Please pack your dog’s food, treats, any medication, and a blanket or bed from home. Familiar items help dogs feel comfortable and settled throughout the day.
Can I watch my dog during the day via webcam?
Unfortunately, we do not have webcams available at this time. However, we do have on-site cameras for our staff to monitor activity.

Our fur kids just love coming here! We are relatively new to the Fraser valley and were a little worried about our oldest dog adjusting to a new daycare. We knew he loved his old one because he would happy cry and get excited when dropped off. He does this with obedience unleashed now too! They love going to daycare here and always come home completely played out from hanging with some other pups. Marie is always kind and prompt and the rest of her staff are just outstanding as well from what I’ve seen so far. The “pupdates” during their boarding/daycare is also a nice touch.
