Maureen Mancinelli – Professional Dog Trainer at Obedience Unleashed Dog Training

maureen-and-accaMaureen currently resides in Merritt, BC with her husband, 4 dogs, 3 cats, a horse and a goat. Maureen developed a passion for working with animals at a very young age. She grew up working with and training a wide variety of horses and dogs.
Throughout her teenage years she competed regularly in Dressage and 3 day eventing with her horse but eventually switched her focus over to dogs when her mare was injured and could no longer compete.

Maureen began training and competing with her two dogs in agility and was hooked. When she was asked to start teaching classes at her agility club she agreed and has been training dogs ever since. During this time she also went to school to become a vet tech and worked in vet clinics for a few years while still training dogs on the side. While she enjoyed her veterinary job she decided to quit and focus completely on a dog training career.

She recently attended the Michael Ellis School for Dog trainers in California and took the Obedience Intensive course. Maureen is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT) and is committed to using the most current, humane, and effective training methods. This is demonstrated through her continuing professional education. Some recent highlights include:

· Grisha Stewart’s BAT for Reactive Dogs course

· Grisha Stewarts’s Empowered Puppy Raising course

· Susan Garret’s Recallers course

· K9 Conditioning taught by Debbie Gross
